We Had Done It…

I look at this photo and remember the first time I saw it. It was sent to my email, in real time, as our partners in Haiti completed the first well maintenance project. This was the first spring, after Solace Cup was formed in late 2023. I can tell you in all honesty that my eyes welled up as I looked at the pictures and videos in that email. We had done it. We completed a project and it was funded through the sale of coffee.

I instantly knew that it was only the beginning of a much larger process. The feelings were profound and way larger than anything I had thought possible when setting out on this mission for access to clean water. Now we knew it was possible.

There is so much more work to be done. Villages and people around the world still need access to clean and safe water. Everyone that has been a part of Solace Cup has had a hand in providing access to the life giving water that each individual requires for survival. Each dollar given and bean roasted is a testament to the goodness of God as we choose to be faithful, reaching the “least of these.”
